“All very welcome - you can invite your family and friends.”
Congratulations to all children who represented Holy Rosary Catholic School at the Southern Catholic Primary Schools Swimming Carnival last Friday week. They performed well and their behaviour was a credit to their teachers, parents and school. Well done to all involved!
It has been a very rich and rewarding experience for me at Holy Rosary and I have enjoyed the exchanges with children, parents, Fr. Suresh and staff, immensely. Thank you to a very dedicated staff who have been so welcoming and are doing a fabulous job in a very professional manner. I wish you all a very Happy and Holy Easter and every success for the future. I hope that Ms Brooks returns to school well rested after a good break, to commence a fresh new term.
Kind Regards,
Jim Ireland
Communication Changes
Please be advised that Skoolbag is no longer the platform for notifications or newsletters.
Schoolzine has transformed our school newsletter into a multi-functional, interactive platform that can be accessed wherever you have internet! At home on your PC, via your mobile or on your iPad - completely at your convenience.
We ask that all parents please embrace this change to our communication and share with as many of our families as possible so we can ensure everyone is aware of the changes to our newsletter.
It will be necessary to download the Schoolzine App to access the newsletter and its many functions.
Kindergarten Enrolments

Enrolments are now being accepted for our Kindergarten classes for 2018. If you have a child to enrol or know of someone who does, please pass this information onto him or her. The Education Act states that Kindergarten students must turn four years of age on or before the 1st January of the year commencing Kinder. Please contact the school office (6275 5200) for an enrolment form.

Kindergarten P Excursion

Easter Hat Parade

Hey! Ho! What a show! Look at what we made! As we go marching round and round in the Easter Hat Parade! On Monday,10th April at 9:00 our school Hall was full of very eggcited students and proud families who gathered to share their creations to all.
Congratulations to all students. We were very proud of the way you paraded, created and shared your amazing Easter Hats. Happy Easter to all in our School Community.
Swimming Carnival

On Friday the 31st March Holy Rosary’s swimming elite converged on The Doone Kennedy Aquatic Centre to take part in the annual SCPSSA Inter Primary Swimming Carnival. After 3 weeks of torrid training the HRCS Dolphins performed magnificently on the big stage. For the first time in my brief tenure here at HRCS we finished in first and second place in a number of events, along with a swag of third and fourth places, congratulations to our team on such a big improvement! A big thanks to Ms Reeve and Mr. Atkin who helped me run the show on the day, and to all the parents who managed to get to the Aquatic Centre and cheer on our team!

HPE Term Overview
Well what a huge Term 1 it has been in HPE here at Holy Rosary Catholic School! The introduction of the new house points system and the inaugural Ploughman Cup has provided students with even more opportunity to engage in the large variety of fantastic learning opportunities we have here at HRCS. Young took out the Champs title in stunning fashion to begin the Ploughman Cup. At the end of the term the house points are currently:
Doyle: 2314
Young: 1789
D’Arcy: 1642
It’s certainly a very tight battle. With the cross country coming up Young and D’Arcy will be looking to bridge the gap on the ‘Wolf pack’ of Doyle.
Have a great holiday everyone!
