Principals Report

On Thursday 13th September we celebrated Grandparents and Special Persons Day with over 400 grandparents and special friends joining us. We commenced the morning with a liturgy led by our School Captains and Vice Captains. The slide show photos of Grandparents and their children prepared by Mrs Lauren McCallum was a highlight and we were incredibly fortunate to have two of our staff members Ms Adrienne Reeve and Mrs Claire Williams sing a rendition of Hands by Jewel. After walking through a Guard of Honour our special people visited classes and shared morning tea together.
Grandparents and special people are the ones with amazing life experiences, a world of knowledge and wisdom to share. They are there to talk to when parents won’t listen, pick-ups and drop offs, sleep overs, treats and chocolates, special shopping trips and celebrating small victories when others haven’t got time. Grandparents are important to children in so many ways. They have patience and time when parents are too busy.

& that is our dear GRANDPARENT.
What children need most are the essentials that Grandparents and Special People in their lives provide in abundance; unconditional love, kindness, patience, humour, comfort, and lessons in life. We thank you for sharing our morning with us and for the important role you play in our beautiful student’s lives.
I would like to wish all in our community a wonderful holiday break and thank you most sincerely for all your support this term. I would like to acknowledge and thank Mrs Lauren McCallum and Mrs Gemma Bennett for taking on the roles of Acting Principal in my absence. We wish Mr Brad Hastie all the very best as he commences his long service leave for the remainder of the year and thank him for all his work with our Grade 6 2018 classes.

We all love our Grandparents and Special People
Kind Regards
Bernadette Brooks
Reflection

End of Term Prayer
We thank you Lord, for this term.
For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have
learnt.
Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.
Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our
faith.
Help us to be a practical Christian these holidays, to appreciate what
others do for us,
to give time and effort to help others.
To be peacemakers in our family.
Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun.
Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term.
We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents and a community that
cares for us.
May we always be conscious of you in our lives.

We have some amazing talent in our school
Grade 5 Camp

Camp is such a great experience
Lunch Orders

When ordering lunches for more than one student can we please ask that separate orders be placed for each student. This is regardless of whether it is a written order with money enclosed or a Qkr order online. When lunch orders are processed the orders go into the appropriate class tubs and are then taken to the classrooms. Two lunch orders in one makes it difficult for this process to happen. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Spare Clothing

We keep some spare clothing in the office to help children when they get wet or muddy, have a toileting accident, lose a button, break a zip or possibly vomit on themselves. We are more than happy to give students a spare, clean set or item of clothing to see them through the day. We please ask that these item/s be washed and returned to the school to allow us to use them the next time someone requires something. Thank you for your understanding.
