Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Guardians,
There are many joys and blessings in my role as Principal. Three events this last week alone have highlighted this. I was invited to attend the most recent round of soccer games and was able to watch Friday night and most of Saturday’s games. It was wonderful to see that despite the chilly weather, the enthusiasm to run around, play with their team, try and kick a goal or two, and partake in an orange and jelly snake at half time seemed to be a highlight of their morning. Team games provide so many opportunities to learn and grow as little humans, and they bring this across into their lives at school.
I was also able to attend the annual National Reconciliation Week Breakfast with some of our Grade 6 students and staff on Wednesday morning at Mystate Bank Arena. A number of thought-provoking presenters gave us an opportunity to reflect on the role each of us plays in the reconciliation process. This year’s theme, ‘Bridging Now to Next,’ creates a link between the present and the future, with a focus on building a better future based on lessons learned from the past, especially in the context of reconciliation. It encourages stepping forward together, drawing on past experiences to support shared action in the present and build a more inclusive future.
Thirdly, who wouldn't be happy about being able to wear their pyjamas to work? Thank you to all our families who supported our fundraiser this term for the Archbishop’s Samaritan Fund.

Kind regards,
Susan McGann
